Dog Training - Brilliant
I have trained both of my dogs at Barnlake and can’t imagine life without the solid grounding in training.

I’ve been training at Barnlake since 2003 when I realised I needed help with a very difficult, to me, dog. I am now attending with my 3rd and 4th dogs. I’m still going because my dogs and I enjoy it. Learning about dog psychology and behaviour is a huge and valuable part of it as well as the social interaction with other owners so I keep coming.
Dog Training
I have attended Barnlake dog training with 5 German Shepherds over the years and attended agility with one of them.
My first Shepherd was a rescue at 4yrs old. A white GSD with behavioural problems. Four months of 1-2-1 classes we over came many of her problems allowing me to enjoy her company and allowing her to enjoy a happy family life in a home with children.
My other GSDs have attended puppy classes and extended their abilities with ongoing kennel club standard training.
The classes are friendly and I have met some lovely people in each class.
My dogs are socialised and I can take them anywhere including, trains, ferries, camp sites and cafes.
They are not frightened of noises, fireworks or even thunder and lightning.
They treat other dogs with respect even if the other dog is frightened and barking at them.
Common problems such as pulling on a lead can be solved with the knowledge of a good trainer.
